3 common mistakes to avoid with your reed diffusers
Reed diffusers are our favourite way to keep your a space smelling fresh, day in, day out, without the need for an open flame. However, being in the business of making them, and hearing our customers feedback, we’ve compiled a few easy make mistakes that can reduce the diffuser’s effectiveness or shorten its lifespan. In this post, we’ll highlight three key errors to avoid so you can get the most out of your favourite fragrances.

Number 1:

Too warm - we’ll start with the most tempting mistake, which is placing the diffuser to a too warm a spot. The reason why this is tempting to do is the fragrance release is more intense, the warmer the oil. So putting your diffuser near a heat source or in direct sunlight can significantly intensify the fragrance release. On the flip side though, it means the oils evaporate significantly faster.

Number 2:

Too cold - similarly to mistake number one, too cold a temperature will impair the fragrance release. Too chilly of a space will slow down or even stop the diffusion process. The diffusers do best at a standard room temperature, away from draught.

Number 3:

Keeping the reeds still for too long - the best practice we recommend for our diffusers is to flip the reeds once a week. This ensures of even diffusion through the reeds for the entire duration and also prevents the reeds to get clogged with dust particles in one part more than the other.

By avoiding these common mistakes, your diffuser will be filling your home with a consistent and long-lasting fragrance for weeks on end. If you’re ever unsure about the instructions feel free to reach out to us or check the Product Care page.
