2022 Wrapped Up with a Christmas Bow
We’ve all wrapped up our playlists for the year a couple weeks ago, but we’ve decided to wrap up our year, and we came across a few fun facts while doing it.
Undoubtedly, the biggest highlight of the year was the opening of our Visitor Centre in Portree.
We’ve documented our journey along the way, and as it goes with most construction projects, it took a bit longer than we anticipated, but it was worth. the. wait.
We are truly proud of the final look of our Visitor Centre. Not only it gives a beautiful snapshot of the Isle to the tourists passing by, it is also an addition to the local community with the LAS cinema and Gasta Phort Rìgh being a part of the complex and open all year round.
We were delighted for the place to be well received and welcomed.
"Great job guys! And it's very welcome change for us locals. Thanks for the good start and we wish you great success in the new overall newly renovated business! Love the cinema, upcoming concerts, pizzeria, coffee, bar. wee shop. A needed change on Skye. Thank you!" are the kind words we've been receiving.

We’re not quite finished there yet either! We are planning to move our production into the new space too. But that is something to look forward to in the new year.

The most popular scent this year was our Highland Gorse fragrance
It’s so nice to see that one of our most unique scents is the overall favourite from both of our collections. The scent is quite distinctive for Scotland and gorse itself is only in bloom for a couple of months on the brink of summer, so it was all the more validating that our customers enjoy this scent all year round and all over the world.
The most popular Reed Diffuser of 2022 - Lemongrass
With the label just as bright as the Highland Gorse, the most favourite reed diffuser comes from our Signature Range. Lemongrass has been a crowd-pleaser for years. One of the main advantages of the reed diffusers is bringing an aroma to your home, day in, day out. It’s also a flameless alternative to our candles, which is particularly handy for homes with pets. Might not be a total coincidence that the best seller is this refreshing, powerful, clean scent!
Fun fact: The scent release time of the Lemongrass Reed Diffusers sold this year would add up to over 228 YEARS of fragrance, thanks to our reed diffusers lasting 10 weeks minimally.
And the most popular candle of the year? - Winter Warmer Large Tumbler
It is really amazing how this scent transcends the season. Despite the name, the ‘seasonal’ scent, the fact that for most of the year this scent was only available online, the Winter Warmer Large Tumbler is our most selling candle! Our customers have been enjoying the astounding combined burn time of 156,600 from the large tumblers alone!
