Our Scottish Collection is inspired by those everyday scents found on our doorstep. Each fragrance is a little snapshot of Scotland, capturing the atmosphere, landscapes and traditions that make the country so distinctive. And when it comes to Island Whisky, the inspiration comes from somewhere particularly Scottish: the quiet ritual of enjoying a dram by the fire.

A whisky fragrance inspired by the islands

Our Island Whisky isn’t inspired by one particular distillery or a single bottle. Instead, it draws on the character and atmosphere associated with island whiskies more broadly.

Scotland’s islands are home to a number of whisky-making traditions, each shaped by its surroundings. From coastal air and maritime landscapes to peat smoke, oak casks and the warmth of a distillery still, island whisky has a character that feels closely connected to its environment.

While every whisky has its own recipe, maturation process and personality, island whiskies are often associated with a balance of smoky, peaty and maritime notes, alongside softer sweetness and warming spice. Some can be rich and smoky, while others are gentler, with fruity or honeyed characteristics. It’s this sense of contrast that makes the style so interesting, rugged and refined at the same time.

Our Island Whisky fragrance takes inspiration from that broader sensory experience rather than attempting to recreate a particular whisky.

From dram to fragrance

For us, the scent of Island Whisky is less about the taste of whisky itself and more about the atmosphere surrounding it.

Think sweet oak casks, soft peat and warming spices, brought together with comforting notes of vanilla and musk. Cinnamon adds a gentle warmth, while subtle fruity notes help to balance the fragrance and give it depth.

The result is rich, smooth and unmistakably Scottish, but never overpowering. It’s the kind of scent that suits a slow evening at home with a good book, a glowing fire and nowhere else you need to be.
